Looking for a new job? A career change? Have an out-of-date resume?

It is always good to have a resume ready, but how to make sure it is as strong and representative of your best qualities can be challenging. Let us help you put your best foot forward!

Whether you are looking to enter the job market or in search of a new path, join us for this virtual event. We will share tips and tricks to making a strong resume, do's and don'ts of resume building, individual resume reviews, and much more.

Panelists include three Penn State Alums with extensive Human Resources, recruiting and hiring experience.

Please come prepared with the most recent version of your resume. All attendees will be entered into a drawing to an individual resume review by one of our panelists!

Panelist Bios

KerriLaine Prunella

KerriLaine Prunella is the Chief Human Capital Officer at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission(CFTC), with over 20 years of experience in the private and public sectors. Prior to her current executive role, Ms. Prunella was a specialist leader at Deloitte Consulting, served as deputy assistant inspector general for administration at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Office of Inspector General (OIG), was the director of human resources for U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Inspector General, and was the senior advisor to the deputy assistant secretary for human resource at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Ms. Prunella earned a bachelor’s degree in international politics from The Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree in business administration from Trinity University, and a graduate certificate in organization development from Marymount University. She also completed graduate level coursework in public policy at George Mason University. Ms. Prunella is a founding member of the George Mason University School of Business Management Advisory Council and held leadership roles with the Penn State Alumni Association, including President of the Metro Washington Chapter and Professional Women’s Network. She currently serves on Alumni Council and is Life Member of the Alumni Association. She also mentors students at PSU and GMU. Ms. Prunella and her husband live in Maryland with their daughter. She enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school and relaxing at the beach.

Kat Jordan

Kat is a 2011 graduate of the Smeal College of Business with a degree in Management, and has been a member of PSPWN since 2013.  She has lived in the DC area since graduation, and currently works at a biomedical research nonprofit in their Talent Acquisition department.  She currently serves as PSPWNDC's President, and spends her free time whipping up desserts and cheering on the Philadelphia Flyers.

Amy Benedetto

Amy is currently an HR Business Partner at Wakefern Food Corp. She completed her bachelor's degree in Sociology from Penn State in 2011 and then went on to complete her Master's in Human Resources from the University of Scranton. Amy has worked in Human Resources across the Media, IT, start up and food and beverage industries. She currently lives in NJ and enjoys running in her spare time.
